infamous for spray-painting poetry on live sheep to celebrate quantum theory, I've also had THIRTEEN books published...

I've 'gone up to 11' in WHSmith!
...including poetry, crime fiction, comedy, drama, language, non-fiction...
I perform my work all over the world live & in the media.

My crime thrillers and my 'CSI: POETRY'  explore forensic pathology, dementia & the science of dying. I also perform funny erotic poetry, cabaret-style. Sometimes I mix them up!

[SEE 'NEWS&EVENTS' for my live gigs, book news etc.]

I've won lots of awards & prizes. I invent new forms of kinetic poetry installations & love new challenges, so offer me a Residency or Commission & I'll create something new for you. I've a degree in Maths/Theoretical Physics, and have lectured to MA level in Creative Writing. I'm keen to engage people with science, both bio-medical/neuroscience and maths/physics and have lots of experience in that field. I'm disabled, mostly working in the mainstream. I've had twelve plays commissioned for stage and BBC radio. I'm a fanatical swimmer and snorkeler, keen wildlife spotter and traveller.
I'm currently Writer in Residence at Dilston Physic Garden, Northumberland, & at Gordon Museum of Pathology, London. I'm also a member of the Crime Writers Association and the Society of Authors.
