nowt to look at: a play for bbc radio

Picture
A lyrical, moving play about deformity and self-image, telling the tale of Annie, a rose-obsessed, disfigured recluse whose head narrates the story as it now floats in a pathology museum jar: the other characters are a spoilt golden boy and a shy flower of a girl.

Director: David Hunter. Starring Pat Dunn as Annie, Christina Berriman-Dawson as Roz and Brian Lonsdale as Jon.
Other voices: Janice Acquah, Gunnar Cauthary, Donnla Hughes, Manjeet Mann.

I wrote this play for BBC Radio 3's THE WIRE slot. It was inspired by the specimens in the pathology museum where I'm Writer in Residence.
