Contact Valerie:
I perform my poetry and fiction live (see here for dates of events) and in the media worldwide, at festivals and events both literary and scientific. It could be funny, cabaret/stand-up style sex poems, or my moving poetry of pathology and neuroscience, or a mix of both, sometimes with Char March as 'Ophelia's Sistas', or my dark but witty crime fiction... some of the places I've performed are listed here, just a sample:
Cornelia St Cafe, New York City
Cuisle Festival, Limerick City, Ireland
Royal Festival Hall, London, with Carol Ann Duffy, John Hegley, Roger McGough, Lemn Sissay, et al
Ledbury Festival
StAnza Poetry Festival, St Andrews
Durham Book Festival (have taken part in this four separate years)
El Gouna Library, Egypt (part of month’s residency there)
GV Art, London, live reading with my exhibited installation
Newcastle University, Institute for Ageing and Health: my residency: several readings, seminars, symposia for scientists
Eigse Michael Hartnett, Co Limerick,
